WE’RE
Change makers
Our Mission
To equip women, youth and persons with disabilities with practical skills, knowledge, and resources in sustainable agriculture, digital literacy and inclusive livelihood solutions to overcome food insecurity and build resilient, thriving communities.
Our Vision
Sustainable and equitable communities where women, youth and people with disabilities have overcome the cycle of food insecurity, unemployment and poverty.
Who We Are
Women Gro Initiative Uganda is a women-led organization empowering women, youth, and persons with disabilities to thrive through sustainable livelihoods, agribusiness, and environmental action.
We believe that when women grow, communities flourish.
From rural farm communities to urban centers, we equip women with the skills, resources, and opportunities to build resilient futures, improve household incomes, and contribute to food security across Uganda.
Our Programs
01
We train women and youth in eco-friendly farming, vertical gardening, and agribusiness management, enabling them to produce food in small spaces, earn income, and enhance food security.
02
Women Gro supports women-led green startups through mentorship, business incubation, and access to markets. We help turn ideas into income-generating ventures that create jobs and protect the planet.
03
We bridge the digital divide by training marginalized women and youth in essential digital and financial skills, empowering them to access markets, manage finances, and grow their businesses.
04
Through tree planting, waste management, and climate awareness campaigns, we promote environmental protection and resilience in communities most affected by climate change.
05
This program fosters hands-on learning about urban agriculture, sustainability, and healthy eating, enabling children as early as 8 years old to grow their own food while developing valuable life skills.
